Mt Mountajn, for all of their distinctiveness, still continue to progress and evolve their sound. This is a sinewy, slightly leaner beast than previous releases. The songs are briefer, slightly more melodic; perhaps the influence of Stephen Bailey’s solo explorations? The songs are still iterations of tension and gloom. I LOVE this band. they never disappoint and every time I hear them it's a different growing sound. GAMMA KNIFE has been stuck in my head for a long while. I have their other records but i've never owned this. Ya know, it kicks major ass!
